Together with Anffany Chen, Tianyu Liu, and Marcel Franz we have studied properties of the Weyl and Dirac semimetals. In particular, we have addressed the effects of pseudo-magnetic and -electric fields created in the material using strain.
We made a number of experimental predictions, including negative pseudo-magneto-resistance, radiation caused by chiral anomaly, and continuously tunable quantum oscillations in absence of magnetic field. Below is the figure illustrating the difference between chiral anomaly due to external magnetic field and due to strain.
